The island of Hvar is 1,000 kilometres from the Czech Republic. Every summer a ferry brings several thousand Czechs to spend a well-deserved holiday here. Occasionally, someone does not return. Since the early 1970s, 42 Czech women have married on Hvar. Why did Czech women connect their destiny with Hvar? What role did the sea play and what role did the relatively free conditions in Yugoslavia play? What do they think is the difference between Czech men and men from Hvar? And what do southern men appreciate most about Czech women? The film by director Tomáš Vávra offers answers. Jitka Carič, Eva Vucetič, Vanda Blaškovič, Bohdana Dulcič and others will tell their life stories in the film.

Not only that, but they would actually like to get married as soon as possible. And so they persistently reject other suitors, refuse medical examinations, and instead welcome their favorites disguised as doctors. The playful banter, gags, disguises, physical comedy, and verbal humor of this unrestrained performance in the style of Italian commedia dell'arte entertained audiences at the Drama Club for several years.

Petr and Lída Kadlec are moving to a dilapidated mill in the Bohemian Forest, which they plan to convert into a restaurant. Unsuspected obstacles from the locals get in the way of their dreams and ideas.

One day, young Tom found a whistle at home and enjoyed playing it. He couldn't understand why his mother took it away from him in anger and threw it away. Tom didn't know that the whistle was the only thing his mother had left from his father, the god Cernunnos, who had abandoned her. The embittered Tom leaves home, and so begins a series of adventures, at the end of which he not only saves the country from invasion by Danish troops and wins the hand of his beloved, Princess Olwen, but also finds his father.
